An informative guide on how to add brand design to your project flow.

To make things easy for the Design team and you, we’ve created a universal request form, created in a briefing format, that asks the necessary questions regarding design requests, and sends them directly to our Linear space.

This way, anyone can make a design request, no matter the department!

Step one: the request form

Got a brand design need? Now you know where to go. Follow this link, which will take you to the Asana request form. This form will ask you some directed questions that will help the designer understand what you need and strategise on the visual solution, whilst also acquiring more detailed information, such as asset sizes/dimensions, if it’s for print, etc.

Going through some key parts of the form (most is self-explanatory, but here are some tidbits to help you through it):

Project description: add as much detail here as you can about the project. Who it’s for, why you need it, the problem it solves, etc. If there are specific multiple assets you need, listing them out would be great for visibility.

Number of deliverables: if there are multiple assets you need, drop the quantity here.

Also, if there are multiple asset you need, please list them in project description.

Deliverables (format): I’ve listed some formats here, but if you don’t see yours, or aren’t sure, add ‘other’ and give a description of what you need. We can discuss your needs via Slack!

Deadlines: the first proof deadline is the agreed date which the first version of the design will be delivered. It’s important that this date is not the final delivery date, in case of changes to the design via feedback.

The launch deadline is the date which the asset will be used/rolled out.

Priority: There are three levels of priority: low, medium and high.

Low includes projects with no significant deadline. These assets are low engagement.

Medium includes most requests with a solid deadline.

High includes urgent communications, company-wide initiatives and time-sensitive cases. Please save this for the most immediate issues.

Timeline SLA: brief me 1.5-2 weeks in advance of you needing the assets you’re requesting.

Step two: follow-up

Once you’ve sent your request through the form, we will receive it and will determine if anything else is required to drive success on the project. We can do this through Slack or organise calls to go through things – the goal of Brand Design is to enable you through design assets, so it’s an inherently collaborative process!

Step three: delivery

Proofs and final assets will be delivered via Slack, directly to the recipient, and added to the Brand Design Drive directory.
